			<description><![CDATA[ <strong>Precious</strong> - Ebert calls this &#39;a great American film&#39;.  I won&#39;t go that far, but it&#39;s a pretty impressive achievement to dance
around cliches this nimbly, primarily due to the strength of the performances and some interesting choices by the director.  Best actress/supporting nods
should surprise no one.  It reminded me of the film <strong>American Splendor</strong> in the
&#39;not-as-depressing-as-you-would-think-considering-the-subject-matter&#39; category,... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Just got back from the IDFA, International Documentary Fesrtival Amsterdam and saw a lecture by a slightly inebriated Julien Temple as well as a screening of
his new picture OIL CITY CONFIDENTIAL, a portrait of pubrocking legends DR. FEELGOOD starring Wilko Johnson to the backdrop of their hometown Canvey Island.
Very nice film again from Mr. Temple. I love the way how he uses found footage to support, accentuate or colour statements of the principals.

It&#39;s precisely these sort of moments that really cheapen the &quot;thrills&quot;. The film is riddled with them and they constantly undercut the suspense -
what there is to start with.

It&#39;s like the film is constantly breaking the fourth wall, constantly reminding us it&#39;s &quot;just a movie&quot; and we shouldn&#39;t invest in any of
the characters or their predicaments.
