Hi, ChaneySr!

Do you have both sizes of ICE STATION ZEBRA? The smaller one is 10" x 14" ... this one is 23" x 33"

If you have this one (the 23" x 33" large version), do you know how it might have been presented originally?

Is yours in a frame of any kind? Mine is mounted on a panel of half-inch plywood, using 14 small mirror-clips around the edges. I imagine this isn't how it was originally presented. I believe the 2001 displays (the smaller ones) were in narrow aluminium frames. Not sure about the larger ones - there appear to have been two slightly different dimensions for the larger 2001 panel - one from USA, the other from UK.

Any additional info would be appreciated.

All the never-used 11x14 3D cards for BEN-HUR and 2001 I have seen have all had a sort of plastic frame with a fold out back as they were designed as counter cards, basically.
Never saw a 23x33 in situ.

Aaaah! Thanks, Phil - that rings a bell! The original frames (on the display cards) were indeed plastic - the one which I saw in aluminium must have been reframed.

Yes - there are two larger 2001 lenticulars - one from USA - same dimensions as my ICE STATION ZEBRA - 23" x 33" - plus one from the UK - strange dimensions - around 23" x 29" approx - haven't seen one in person to check exact measurements.

Didn't know about the Japanese one, though.

So, at time of writing this, still no sign of another ISZ large version.

I think we may be getting our lines crossed here! The size approximation I quoted was for the UK lenticular panel for 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY and was based on LAMP info - I haven't actually seen one in person. LAMP quotes 23"x28.5" on the individual item description and 23"x29" on their main lenticular list - that's why I added 'approx'.

I think ChaneySr was referring to an actual Japanese lenticular (for 2001) but didn't quote dimensions.

ChaneySr also suggests that the large 2001 lenticulars may have been manufactured in Japan. Ed (LAMP) suggests Germany - hence the 23"x33" size correlation. If anyone has any evidence re origins of any of these, the additional info would be welcomed. However, my principle current concern is any info re the ICE STATION ZEBRA item - I rather sidetracked myself with the 2001 data!
