I have come to believe Jethro Tull was the greatest modern band (and thats from a reggae fan as you know), I cant understand how people dont like it (Eric) Ian
A is a performer, sure its crazy, but he reminds me of half my friends, and I really enjoy the antics, its like punk rock meets court jester meets a drunken
hippy. In other words, UM ........ ME! and some of their stuff is SO heavy, its no wonder they won the awards over Metallicunts
I listen to Jethro Tull every night after work, and its one thing that keeps me sane Ari |

Jethro Tull fans should listen to the original SERENADE TO A CUCKOO bu Roland Kirk. Puts the Tull experience (or lack of, at least in the flute department)
into some perspective.

Jethro, gets more play here than they do on the radio. I can't afford to be hip so it's old school for the time being.

Yes, it seems that in Australia at least, fudge and gell are making a big comeback with a certain age group. I met a 6 year old boy the other day who had an appointment with a hairdresser..... |

Under the heading of old fartism, I guess..... I find it really difficult to have a serious conversation with some young (and not so young) bloke whose hair
looks like his finger is constantly stuck into a light socket.

Lucinda Williams.... oooohhhh.....
One of the most memorable concerts I ever saw was Lucinda, with Mary Chapin Carpenter and Rosanne Cash in what was basically a pub gig (Paddington RSL) several years ago in Sydney. They each did a solo set, with the other two acting as back-up singers and then a set with the three of them. |
