It was a live auction. I had not heard of the company before but a brochure turned up in my letter box and amid a lot of other items were about 20 posters. Not
being able to send photos (too busy they claimed) was a worry but i got descriptions which seem to indicate they are real (i.e. two folds, printers names etc).
James Dean Story, Great Escape and North by Northwest were the big three I won, two of them at the opening bid and all of them at about 10 per cent of their value, so here's hoping! |

I appreciate the beauty of the card, it's ah just not for me...I don't hate em...I do have a few sets but ah...anyway...
A trip around the world for some new acquisitions from me (not really new acquisitions, just finally got off my arse and took some pics) First we land in lovely Turkey   
While over in France... 
Germany looks rather interesting this time of year 
But there's no place like good old Australia

Hi Varmit, you have an awesome collection.
I don't know how I've never seen your collection website before but... woh. Your Tim Burton section is greatness. You have a lot of Abbot and Costello. My favorite is "Abbot and Costello Go To Mars" on that page. Don Knots "The Love God" is hilarious. I really like the movie poster of the month section; the V wildings, Children of Men, Pan's Labyrinth and Professional. Thanks for sharin' em. |

Sometimes you bid on things and end up with egg on your face and stains all over your torn posters.
But then sometimes you bid with a company you've never dealt with before on posters you haven't seen and they can't provide a photo and you take pot luck and amazingly no-one else bids and you get them at the reserve price. Then they turn up in lousy packaging with no protection - and they still turn out to be originals (ok I know Dr No is a re-issue) and in excellent condition. I might be feeling sick but these beauties brightened my day. 
And a few new lobby cards too!
