Watched STREET TRASH last night, havent seen it since I was a teen and it was a new release Video. Great fun, and still holds up. Of course nothing serious,
but its certainly one of the better 80's trash-fests.

I watched Fallen Angel (1945) last night. Got a few Preminger movies on DVD from a friend. It was very good and all but I always get bummed when things end up
sorta okay. I'd like a total disaster all the time. Oh well. Hubba hubba on that Linda Darnell action! Yes!

I am quite confident that Phil will be reduced to a whimpering mass of raw emotion in the last 15 minutes of the film. And Archie is sure to like it too. But, you, Ves, are the free radical. In any event, I appreciate your effort -- it's Magdalenian of you.

You need to work on your negativity my friend, I personally think the film is brilliant and am still thinking about it weeks after my initial viewings (even though I have watched a few others, that I cant remember) have just been waiting for a little fuel for the fire |

Public Enemies - Decidedly good, not great. Well acted, solid technical direction and plenty o' shootin', but,
somehow, the final product is less than the sum of it's parts. Maybe it's the Titanic syndrome, where you know
the ending going in and it lessens the power of the story.
Once again, Mann includes one scene of such ludicrous proportions as to nearly ruin the rest of the film. You will know it when you see it.
I do, I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and
was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any
such slander at any time in the future.

reduced to a whimpering mass of raw emotion in the last 15 minutes of the film Really really really great movie. Hoffman is just a genius me thinks. Well done Eric...If you didn't keep harping on about the film not sure I would have seen it, which would really have been a shame. My only gripe...WTF with the burning house? Re Public Enemies...but it has Johnny Depp...it has to be fantabulous |
