Hi everyone, I looked for threads for new members and the only one I managed to find was from 2006, so I thought I would start one to introduce myself. Hope
that isn't a problem, I'm still learning my way around this forum. This should have been my first post, but I was anxious to post the stuff I have for
sale, so that trumped my introduction. Anyway, my name is Bill and I'm from the suburbs of Philadelphia PA. I'm also a member of MPF under the same
name "cffguy" although I don't really post there much anymore. MPF has taught me a lot, but my main interest is in drive-in/cult/exploitation
films from the 1960s-1980s. I was told by someone on MOPO that I would feel very much at home here. I've been a fan of genre films for as long as I can
remember. I got into poster/memorabilia collecting some years ago. It all started when I ordered a DOLL SQUAD one sheet from Ted V. Mikels' website. After
that I was hooked. I have small, but solid little collection going, although I've had to slow down due to being tapped for money. (Such is the life of a
grad student.) Anyway, I wanted to say hi and I hope I can contribute something to and learn from NSFGE. Bill

Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here. Am taking a rest from collecting at the moment but my first love was film posters from movies of 40s & 50s. However, I've definitely broadened the field in the last few years. Shelly |

I think a lot of people are taking a break from collecting. The last piece I bought was a 1990's Strand Releasing Faster Pussycat one sheet, and the only reason I bought it was because I got it for $35. I think my days of buy big ticket items are at a standstill for the time being. At least in the US the economy is rough and money is very tight right now. I'm in my last semester at grad school and the whole semester has been a financial drain so far. |

that, you dirty paper collector.

Hey Bill welcome to the forum!
It can get a little crazy here but that's the fun. You should find many who share your interest in "drive-in/cult/exploitation films from the 1960s-1980"... ...and we have all experienced that "being tapped for money" situation at one point or another

Welcome to NSFGE, Bill! You are in good company with your love of cult and exploitation posters. The smut lovers are plenty here. (And I mean that affectionately, too.) What does "cffguy" stand for? I empathize with you over being a poor struggling graduate student. But you've got some cool (for the smut lovers) pieces of paper to give you inner joy while you suffer physically.
