Great blog and a very promising looking book, in either format.
Any new areas of film history not previously covered in this sort of depth and with a love and understanding of the subject are more than welcome. As for whether this should be in the FS section? Well, it's Ari's forum and these guys aren't selling posters or movie memorabilia and any encouragement for original film research should only be extolled. So what's the big deal? The suitability or not as to whether it should be in the main forum seems to be a moot point at best and appears to be a storm in someone's teacup. Perhaps Joel Cairo never came through with the real Falcon after all, or Brigid O'Shaughnessy changed her mind? Or maybe The Fat Man wanted more from that cheap gunsel Wilmer after all? |

For whatever reason, as Forum owner I get emails from members. people get upset about things. I had a couple today that stated, to me, they would not support a certain NS4 member, in other words they will not buy from him again. and you can say WHO CARES I DONT NEED THEM. Well any dealer does need "them", and two email me. means probably many more feel the same way and don't, it's really none of my business. So, what does it mean? Who knows, who cares? well some of us do. Ari |

great Post Phil I always enjoy reading your sage words, Yes Ari its not fun especially when your getting contacted behind the scenes about a member of a group.
tell them to fuck off and do what they need to do to be happy, but never fall prey to behind the scenes pressure or do something you really dont want to do and feel like shit and take shit for it for along time, and end up trusting no-one, susan |

I am one of the people who has previously purchased from Dave.
I don't buy 26K posters, though I do spend money with poster dealers. I won't be purchasing from Dave again. Yes, he packs wells and I was pleased with my items when they arrived, but this is not the only thing that influences my choice to purchase from someone or not. I am continually disappointed at the lack of respect shown for fellow people within the hobby, and the you don't matter attitude he seems to have. His previous post being a classic example of this. So for this lowly collector, his actions on this forum have directly impacted my choice not to do business with him anymore. Not that my opinion or post matter, as I have been told several times in the past, but I just wanted to voice it. And no, I am not one of the people who privately emailed Ari. |

guys. Thanks so much for the banter & input. The Book is a labour of love with a passion for the All Action Italian Eighties flicks that Entertain in
bucket loads. There are Eighty odd Reviews & many, many rare Action flicks that most will never have heard about or feared would never see. They are all
out there but it takes dogged determination to find them, & so very rewarding time after time when they show up. Watching these movies has been a blast
& a huge addition to my collection over the years. Both myself & my Co-Author are committed to sharing this stuff & welcome any interested parties.
There's no real profit margin, just good old satisfaction in getting the product out there & revelling in some good old fashioned positive feedback
(Heck, if not its head for the hills & Volume 2 will doubtlessly then have to be all about politically correct Rom Coms or a digest of Poetry from Mr. Ari
Richards himself ... you have been fair warned !).

One of the constants, particularly in the later Eighties Action entries, was the leading man used by the Italian Directors. Three star men stood out - Reb
Brown - Brent Huff - & Miles O'Keeffe. Anyone have any particular preference or dislike of any of these guys or indeed any favourite movie starring any
of them ?. bb
