With magical titles & wonderous movie rarities such as Tex And The Lord Of The Deep & Massacre In Dinosaur Valley how can any Action lovin' movie fan not want to get Excited. Rumble, did you see the Full Uncut version ?. It is quite tricky to get the version with the Coconut run scene. The Japanese VHS is a great find, not only fully intact but a beautiful Widescreen print as well. Another Recommendation for you is Commander aka The Last American Soldier (1988) starring Craig Alan. This too is hard to find Uncut as the US Tape runs 99mins but is available in Japan clocking in at 112mins. Simon Yam is Incredible here & the scene with an innocent child is numbingly shocking. Next to Ebola Syndrome this for me is one of the strongest movies to come out of Hong Kong. bb

He died way too young of cancer-related illnesses at age 55. A good friend of mine interviewed him in depth around the time of LAST HUNTER or therabouts and found him a thoroughly charming guy. Perhaps if he'd had the big break he needed, he might have been a major star beyond his Eurowork because he had the chops and was a believable player in action films.

I've seen R&K already but thought of C&R because seems like a natural followup to LAST HUNTER, what with the jungle theme and all. If you have not seen Cut And Run then you will definitely enjoy the Uncut version. The heavily edited version plays differently & does not do Ruggero Deodato any favours. I really like the full version & witnessing the Extra scenes of high violence was quite incredible. Seeing John Steiners demise is Rip roaring rewind moment. A definite watcher. Enjoy. bb
