Johnny Depp has vowed to help fellow actor Nicolas Cage out with his outstanding $6 million tax bill. "Johnny called
Nicolas and basically told him not to worry and he'd help him sort everything out," says a friend of the actors.
Nicolas originally helped Johnny kick start his career when he first arrived in Hollywood and Johnny now feels like he owes his career to Nicolas. "Johnny has never forgotten what Nic did for him," says the friend.
Nic and Johnny met over 20 years ago, back when the Pirates of the Caribbean star was a struggling musician. Nicolas saw potential in the youngster and hooked him up with his agent, which led to Johnny's breakthrough role in A Nightmare on Elm Street. "Johnny wants to repay him - if Nicolas agrees," say the friend.
Nicolas is facing financial ruin after finding out he owes over $6 million in back taxes from 2007 and is now suing his former manager for bad financial advice.
